September 5 & 6 , 2018: Social Innovation Leadership: From Thought to Action

On behalf of the City of Surrey, you are invited to join other community and business leaders, and passionate Surrey residents for the fourth annual Surrey Social Innovation Summit on September 6, at Surrey City Hall. This year’s Summit emphasizes the sort of innovative leadership, partnerships, capacity building and practical tools that are required to take great social innovation ideas off the drawing board and turn them into reality. This “thought to action” approach includes moderated panels, audience interaction, practical case studies, and hands on afternoon workshops, all aimed at giving Summit participants a more sophisticated and impactful social innovation tool box.

November 13 , 2018: Vancouver Canadian Immigrant Fair

The Canadian Immigrant Fair is returning November 13, 2018, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Vancouver Convention Centre East Hilton (999 Canada Pl., Vancouver, B.C.), steps from the Waterfront Skytrain Station). Free admission! With more than 1,200 immigrants and 50 exhibitors at our fifth annual November 2017 Vancouver fair, we will have two fairs in the Vancouver area in 2018, starting off with one in Metro Vancouver (Burnaby), followed by our November fair back in downtown Vancouver.
