Community Consultation Forums on Settlement and Integration:
Two forums will be organized so that the LIP’s council can consult with the community about its work. Each forum will include 80 newcomers, settled immigrants, community members and representatives from local government, businesses and service agencies
First Forum (March 24, 2015)
Participants will be presented with the findings from research and community engagement sessions. They will give feedback on immigrant integration strategy priority areas. Their input will inform the LIP Council and its Working Groups in the development of its integration strategies, priorities and action plans.
Second Forum (2016)
The council will present the final draft of the preliminary LIP immigrant integration strategic plan and action plans to participants to collect feedback before final completion.
Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership Research Initiative (October 2014 – March 2015)

The process will include working group meetings, the development of a research plan, collection of information from community organizations, development of a community agency survey tool, survey administering, analysis of survey data, formation of focus groups and analysis of focus group sessions.
The findings of this research will be used to inform the development of the TCLIP’s strategic plan and settlement strategy. A research report and summary of key findings will be published upon completion.
