Five Port Coquitlam companies took home prizes from the city last week for their business excellence.
More than 150 people were at the 10th annual PoCo Best Biz Awards celebration at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, an event sponsored in part by the Tri-City News.
This year, the municipality received 233 nominations to honour companies that have made a difference in the community and provided exceptional customer service.
As well, more than 3,500 public votes were cast for the coveted People’s Choice accolade.
Here are the winners as picked by civic, PoCo BIA and Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce representatives:
- Small Business of the Year: Reclaim Rehabilitation Consulting
- Business of the Year: Excel Martial Arts Port Coquitlam
- New Business of the Year: La Boulangerie
- PoCo Downtown BIA Business of the Year: In a Wink Beautique
- People’s Choice Award: Holistic Sleep Solutions (runner up: Foxy Box Wax Bar)
