Description: In 2022 Canada welcomed a record 406,000 new immigrants and plans to welcome nearly 500,000 each year for at least the next three years. Learn and discuss how these newest residents are shaping our communities.
Boundary Practice Workshop
Registration is limited to early years’ service providers and anti-oppression capacity building project participants who support immigrant families and settlement workers in the Tri-Cities.
Boundary Practice: Patterns of Relating, Self-Care and Somatic Awareness for Family Support Professionals is a two-day workshop for service providers to learn different kinds of boundary habits, the challenges they bring, and how to practice healthier boundaries in our work and in life. Participants will gain a better understanding of how they feel and think at work relative to how they are negotiating boundaries with clients and co-workers. Participants must attend both days (Oct. 31st and Nov. 3rd) to be eligible for certification.

Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator Training
Registration is limited to Tri-Cities early years’ service providers that have not previously participated in, or delivered, Circle of Security training and will have the capacity to provide it within the Tri-Cities soon after completing the program.
The Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator training program is for service providers hoping to foster secure attachment within families and help parents and caregivers increase their awareness of their children’s needs. This course will take about 25-35 hours to complete between the self-directed learning and the 5 live sessions scheduled over one week. Participants must attend all live sessions (Dec. 4th – 8th) and complete the course to be eligible for certification.
